Happiness Has Found You

Happiness Has Found You

I had a vision or a dream
you caught the devils eye.
I stood and watched him as he watched
as you began to cry.

So much I've learned from life I lived
and now I'm getting older.
I saw an angel dressed in white
tap the devil on his shoulder.

The devil gave an eerie grin
and asked him what he wanted.
He said he's come to take away
all the things by which you're haunted.

The devil turned and shook his head
I heard his evil laughter.
The angel spoke unto your heart
and said from this day ever after.

You will be free of everything
by once you were afflicted.
Saving you from everything
to what once you were addicted.

Taking pain you one time knew
of suffering and great loss.
The angel took those things away
and nailed them to the cross.

The devil screamed in agony
saying “No! This cannot be!”
I watched the angel saving you
the way that he saved me.

I saw the chains just fall away
that at one time had bound you.
At last the locks were broken
and happiness has found you.

Afraid not, as the slots for entries must have already been filled-up. I checked it just now, and the Contest is no longer there. You can check those that are still open under Contests: By Members. Blessings for future contests! Kim :)
