Hannah's World
Fair is the world where Hannah lives;
No woes that can't be kissed away.
Cushioned by arms of selfless love,
She dwells in beauty day by day.
Her slightest wish is a command.
She wears her queenly crown with poise,
Innocent and quite unaware
There are less favored girls and boys.
Too soon, too soon to let her know
There is another world than this.
Her subjects vie to bring her joy,
Their only fee, a smile or kiss.
Warnings and lessons must be taught,
A world of troubles to be met.
We look into her trusting eyes
And cannot bear to tell her yet.
The time will come she must be told
Of dangers lurking everywhere,
But for this while we hold her close,
Blessed in her perfect world to share.
