Hanging Mistletoe
Hanging Mistletoe
The time has come when
I must take my place with that
Inner grace and years.
A light breeze blows
And the mistletoe hangs low,
Thick from the blazing oak.
When the leaves are gold,
The body old, and time has shed
All life’s tears.
A light breeze blows
And the mistletoe hangs low,
Thick from the blazing oak.
Fall has returned with its
Annual burn and drift
As cold winter nears.
A light breeze blows
And the mistletoe hangs low,
Thick from the blazing oak.
Scarlet content from
Past years spent and kisses
From remembered dears.
A light breeze blows
And the mistletoe hangs low,
Thick from the blazing oak
