Hanging In There

I see you, if I see you at all Time moves slower now And it matters not if I see things inverted The boundary of skin senses still A feeling you are one with air and light But the cells inside have a life of their own Programmed guardians to protect Do battle for life and limb Constant wars I can scarce imagine But wonder if they fight for love White coats waft down cold corridors Invisibly stained cells with questions That burn day and night, obsessed I’m pillow banked and stiff The drip dulls pain While I’m held suspended between life and magnetic death I succumb instead to sleep And everyone is thankful While nothing Lacks ... Love surrounds in still vibrant silence

I agree with Gregory actually - this is compelling and I read with mixed and confused emotions "White coats waft down cold corridors" sticks in my mind, like ER, or One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, disturbing or reassuring I am not sure. Either way great to hear from you and time to pick up that quill again, Patricia? I do hope so :))
