Handicap
Late into the Night;
the hunger of the day
is keeping the eye half shut
and the sleep at bay
Wrapped in a torn sheet
on the platform no. 3
holding on to wooden clutches
where the legs should be
Out from the corner
a ray of light
grows into a sea of brightness;
a heavenly sight
In this heaven
he jumps, play and run
He can only look forward
the life has just begun
He climbs the trees
and goes down the ravines deep
the exhaustion gets him;
alas, he cannot sleep
The light passes away
the dreams are gone
it’s cold and dark again;
reality is back to haunt
Cursing the God, he asks
why do you give dreams, illusions and hope
I can stay famished all night
the mental handicaps, I cannot cope
