“Halos of a Thousand Lashes” 

Sweet dreams
for runnaway children
looking for nursery rhymes

a sweet balm comes to mind
fairy songs sung 
to close their eyes

fluttering a thousand lashes
like angels wings

hearts wear thorny crowns
for halos seeking home 
opening arms

shooting cupids arrows
across the universe 
for better tomorrows

Yes, to better tomorrows, both poem and song are beautiful. Jai Guru Deva om is a mantra * translates into “hail to the Heavenly Teacher” or “I give thanks to Guru Dev" inspired by the band’s interest in transcendental meditation (beatles)

This poem is relevant as it is a song my daughter likes to sing. Whether she understands the translation or not, is of no great importance, as long as she gains joy and reassurance from singing it. She will certainly, know from reading comments here, what the translation means to her... she has exceptional taste in music. Xx

I've come across a few translations for the words ...I quite like this one below, but it all circles back into the same universe, we all understand eventually.
