Halo Aeetos Leukos-W

My name signifies *a sea eagle with a white head
Bald meaning white and not hairless as called

My place in America is secured as the emblem
Because of my long life, strength and freedom

You can see me on back of gold coins and dollar
Freedom personified amid the grandeur of Nature.

My place in nature secured and viewed with respect
A symbol for the strong and free, flying with no regret.

Hon’ B. Franklin did not favor me as a national bird
Blaming me to be immoral, dishonest and coward.
