Halloween Repulsive
One Halloween night I went for a coffee date,
and what arrived was a ghostly white lizard thing;
as I watched it approach me I lost my heart rate,
when it reached me I jumped up as if on a spring.
I ran home and was sure "it" was creeping behind,
and I trembled thinking of that thing undefined;
it was hideous, grotesque- not of humankind,
I heard it slurp or was that my unconscious mind.
