Halloween Costumes

When I grew up we were free to be anything.
But those days are over!
I can only dress as my dog, Rover??

If I dress ethnically, some may get offended.
We had innocent fun as kids and adults.
Today a costume may start a revolt.

Only people in power can wear such things,
Rule countries, what does this all mean?
That we are nothing?

I really don't comprehend all the fluster.
And so, my friends, this year,
I will be a jar of mustard!!!

I know you have to be careful these days but things have gone to far. Everyone worried about being sued. Tom

I feel like screaming.." Sue this!" The USA is infested with lawyers for just about any offense one can conceive of. Don't know about the EU. People lost all sense of humor. You and Gershon write humorously plus others, too. I truly admire that. Panagiota. Soupmail en route

I don't know if I'll be able to 'ketch-up' to you on Halloween, my friend. Smiles, Gershon

Gershon, I keep encouraging you to be a comedy writer, you funny dude! Full of wit and joy. Comedians will pay for your jokes, no kidding. Now smile, write and some geld might be flying your way! We need some clean jokes, my friend. You could write a comedy series! You a shining wit! Your fan, Panagiota
