Halcyon
The statement of valediction was given
But nobody ever attended the farewell
Left me like maim indefensible
The sense of tranquility was never there
But watching you fall-asleep
Made my insomniac nights serene
The process of forgetting was always hard
But remembering you was gratuitous
Placed melancholy to me
The connotation of love was blur
But that glare of your eyes
Framed me in infatuation
