Haj: Africa To Mecca

Bridled pilgrim on tributary road Sanctified route that Imams trode Hoping cares and sorrows to unload In Mecca's blessed, sanctified abode Prayerful disciple dutifully abnegating world in part Humbly following the scantily-provisioned cart In contrition, taking alms from each, beneficent heart Diligently brushing aside each mental block, earthen rampart Suffering the reproach of strangers with grace Shouldering the stigma attached to foreign race Showering kindness to each passed, nameless face Seeking refuge in lowly shelter and amended space
