Hair Today
My hair is thinning
I am going bald
Like a tree in Autumn
my hairs fall
Down the drain
into my comb
Soon I will shine
with a hairless dome
Grow a beard
wear a hat
Do the comb over
a toupee at that
Or damn it all
and let it go
Shave it smooth
wax it to glow
Be bald and bold
show it proud
Save on shampoos
and wash less towels
I brush my hair
it always seems less
As a child
my hair was a glorious mess
Thick and bushy
wavy and long
And now my hair
is all but gone
Hair today
you know the rest
I'm getting so
bald is best
