Hail To the Chief

A chord is struck, the music has begun.
All stand with respect, for the new chief has come.

Though the aire has been played for decades past, this moment is different now.
A singular change comes at last, ever - forever longed by the world around.

For the nation has matured, it has come into being.
As was foretold on a mountaintop, years ago by a king.

Social ideology, once so deeply engrained.
Washed away in bloody sacrifice, yet...the country still sustained.

So were sown the seeds of resentment, until they be washed away.
Still, others came to wash the nation clean, lives given to the cause even today.

So stand we now, a country bound together all.
As we “Hail the Chief”, the people of the nation now stand tall.
