Hail To the Chief!

upon the eve o' hallow night
when demons cackle, what a fright!
where black cats eyes appear aglow
in headlights cast, I surely know
that my survival must depend
on garlic necklace, tied end to end
but if these measures aren't enough
to vanquish ghosts and scary stuff
then once again, old tried and true
my Nixon Mask, will surely do!

Very funny poetry James, you have unravelled the mistery of halloween, how hollow it is.Keep the garlic necklace regardless,it is good for many other things. Best wishes, Chacko

Oh, Jim, you certainly have a great sense of humor. There actually were Nixon masks years ago. Last year I saw a few Hillary Clintons. Very tight poem with an air of spookiness that even Poe would envy. Keep that garlic necklace intact after Halloween. It's one of the best seasonings for all types of food. EXCELLENT work! Love it and wish you luck in the contest. Love, Carolyn

LOL...ahhhhhhhhh poor deluded Nixon & poorer still Agnew who took the historic fall on his sword for the "boogeyman" Nixon was born with Pinnochio's nose for all to see yet most could care less. Love the verse. Light & Love
