Hail, Liar of the Year

His stinging eloquence torments his foes His flawless arguments are fatal blows His poisoned words are seeds of misery His boastful wit can spell their tragedy He scares them so, he's lawyer of the year Defender of the law, his voice they fear But then behind his fearless righteousness He's not that great at all, he's small, he's less For when his moneyed client strolls out free I know my innocence cannot save me The most I get today is sympathy As he enjoys his fat attorney's fee I heard he caused some serious injury The court convicted him of perjury A joking twist of fate for I'll be here The cellmate of the liar of the year !
