I'm not much of a tree-hugger, but I do think that we are starting to go in the wrong direction... cutting down all the natural beauty just to make a few more shopping malls? It's sad. I thought it was clever how you used the word 'gold' in two different ways... the color of the autumn leaves and the rock... interesting and deep haiku Anne!

I know what you mean my friend! I wish they would leave our forests alone, but alas, the world is in such need of paper products, so many things that require paper from trees! Plus many many places are heated by wood in the fireplaces! However much we want these things we really don't want to see our forests being cut down! There are other ways to heat our homes and other things we could use instead of paper products, this way we can keep our lovely forests, awesome write Anne-Lise, Great Work!!
