Nice haiku - you stuck to the 5 7 5 formula which is all to the good. In New York we have invented a new form - 9 1 1 syllables. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

So glad to see one of your poems in my contest, Elaine. Are you back here to stay? I sure hope so. I'm seeing more and more of you at soup now. I really liked your slant on summer, doing a rainy scene for us. a small suggestion. Haiku do not need capitalization. I'm trying to spread the word! Congrats to you.
