Haiku Series, By Faith

Haiku series, by Faith

(Written for Addi Menefee, Gail Menefee)

under my blankets
knowing of children with cancer
prayer songs rise

my soul swims through grace
see their bodies struggle by faith
dance to healing

I picture their faces
 smoothed crowns in clinics
Christ calls the eagles, “Fly!”

precious their growing
blessed freed secured
hear playgrounds filled with laughter

blessed parents with strength
Holy Spirit present
starlight shines eternal

with blankets pulled back
in stilled silence asleepp
soul sends glory praise

Victor! Thank you! I think we know each other well enough now for me to send U kisses for that response. I prayed for Addi for 11 months. She had her last treatment before final test today.
