Haiku Chain
Brave Daffodils
Through half-frozen ground
Push the slender stalks of green,
Cold, brave daffodils!
Warmth of days to come
Will bring the shoots to flower –
Sunny daffodils!
Light up the landscape.
Still brittle, brown and dreary,
Dancing daffodils!
Daisy Dance
Summer flowers fade,
Their showy petals droop,
Still the daisies bloom.
Atop glossy green
White daisies’ upturned faces
Smile in profusion.
Hail to the daisies!
String them into garlands for
Dancing, barefoot maids!
