Haiku Chain (To Help a Little - I Hope)

clear picture --revealed surprise --withheld exclamation not syllable count --beat essential --every word Author notes Haiku, traditionally of nature but now contemporary tends to be accepted. Many confuse the 5-7-5 structure to mean syllable, it's not it means beat. Counts are guide only and as few as you can get away with to lead with two lines and reveal with the other. A haiku is three lines but several -usually three can be joined to make a chain these should stand alone as well as in chain. There are other takes on haiku which have slight variation on the form.

Yes, my understanding of haiku was 17 syllables or less, not necessarily 5 7 5. This is interesting to read. Love, Shar
