A great modern form haiku. I asked which to use, traditional or modern and she didn't reply yet, so I am guessing this will do very nicely.

I did a blog recently on tanka. the modern ones as touted by the Tanka Society of america. They are very much like haiku and if you go read them, you can see the way haiku and tanka should be done, with that AHA line at the end! it's hard to get poets to see that. i have a difficult time getting juxtaposition too. Often I am just putting an ending that is a recap of what i just said. Many are doing that, and sadly, it's not the right way. Yours here does not do that.

We shall see Andrea. I am at odds with the many variations on what constitutes a Haiku/Senryu. I'll have to check back with you on exactly what she wants
