Gypsy Kaleidoscope

Gypsy Kaleidoscope Mystic, mystical, magic gypsy Spins a halcyon kaleidoscope on white horizon’s Calypsos leaping in crystal canticles Erases darkness of the neon midnight sun. In polar solstice fireworks of ruby throated flaming vermilion Solar windstorms paint an artic canvass in sapphire frost - Electric mischief hums in flashing emerald rose Like phosphorus disturbed excitement from a garnet star. A razzle dazzle of cerise surges, bounding through carmine flashes, In bewitching specks of lemon citrine bursts Like transparent wings of dragonflies Charged with joy to release diaphanous rose dust. Uncatchable glitzy shards crystalline dart - Icy silver gilded lilac bonfires sizzle Coloring midwinter far north cobalt dreams Gathered in fluorescent enchantment of captured opal fire. Phoenix nomad on fiery wings, that never weary, Basks in flashing flickers - escapees of the spectrum - Sends a spiraling cinnabar kiss – dazzling topaz light - For a magnetic midnight jubilee. 8-21-21 Contest: Kaleidoscope Sponsor: Chantelle Anne Cooke

Hi Constance! Thank you. So happy you liked this poem. Just a minor problem - I don't see it listed on the winners list. In my Member Home area under contest entries I do see it taking a third. Could it have been a victim of cyber mischief? Thanks for the clarification. Sending you many blessings and much gratitude for all that you do here on the soup!

Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much! The Aurora Borealis is one of God's most amazing creations - a mesmerizing display! Thought it would be a perfect subject for the theme of an ever changing, flashing kaleidoscope! Too bad you and I can't see it here in California! Blessings to you!

Hi Krish! So glad you liked this poem and gave you a surreal experience without the addition of drugs! Writing this was like stepping into the world of the rainbow and the electric Aurora Borealis. Thank you for your congratulations. So appreciated! Take care. Be safe with the emergence of Delta! In my prayers.

I am so humbled by your wonderful feedback Sigrid! Thank you! I really have to give Chantelle's contest, Kaleidoscope, the credit for these color filled lines. If you can find footage of the Aurora Borealis that would be a perfect accompaniment to the poem. I have an old album, Northern Lights, that might add another dimension. Your comments really did put a big :) on my face and it was so wonderful to hear from you! Would love to see what you would write on Kaleidoscope. I know it would be special. Blessings to you.
