Guilt

Moonlight and mystery have found you.
The wind blows cold in the night.
Mist covers morning's sound reason.
Darkness destroys all that is light.

Stillness surrounds this stark moment,
as sadness seeps through to your eyes.
Tears gather slowly, serenely
from fears of unfounded surmise.

Naked, too troubled, bewildered
as memories continue in lies.
Then deep in the darkness, it finds you.
Remorseful, resplendent reprise.

Thank you, Charlie. Love seeing your face. I have been busy with some personal things but will be back reading your poems and the other wonderful poet's work on the soup as well. And hopefully writing a few good ones again! ...Fran
