Guiding Light

Go and find your pride inside
Face your demons, don't hide at night
I write for those who know they'll Survive the fight
If you feel lost, then let my words be your guiding light

I'm back with another
Smiling and stronger than ever, despite the past I suffered
I speak my mind Exact won't stutter
Ready to make a toast so someone Pass the butter

The demons I faced were supposed to beat me
Not one person bet on me to win
All I heard was, there's nothing we see in him
They thought my demons would have it easy

First it was he'll have lost before the night comes
Then it was he'll quit before the night's done
Then it was this is something he won't survive from
Now they're saying, we didn't bet on the right one

I don't take losses to the heart and don't let victories go to my head
No malice in my heart, but I won't forget what they said
I've bled before and I'll bleed again
But all the greats take the punches and still find a way to win

Go and find your pride inside
Face your demons, don't hide at night
I write for those who know they'll Survive the fight
If you feel lost, then let my words be your guiding light

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
