As short as it is, I read it a few times to be clear. What a quantum leap in the space of two sentences! Childhood is like that. It's such a short, precious time of life. It goes by way too fast. Congrats on your writing!

Thanks ! I'm more of a whiskey on the rocks, and that rarely, champagne isn't tasty to me but I liked the contrast of happy bubbles lol...xo

The contrast between the bubbles of our childhood and bubbles of an adult drink signifies growing up in this poem. I'm happy to hear you have fond memories as well! Xo
