It is amazing what people have lived through..Certain situations would have been impossible with those limited facilities..Sara

Wow, that would certainly be a challenge! We were 5 kids with one bathroom in Levittown but then we "moved on up" like the Jeffersons to a house with a bath and 1/2. (Thank God!):)

I didn't know there was a distinction between Haiku and Senryu, but your comment sent me on an info. seeking mission, and I concur with your assessment. I would venture to guess that most submissions for this contest should more properly be classed as Senryu, as it is about family, ie: people. Thanks for the comment. -G

We were 9 children with an outhouse..hehe The outhouse part isn't true.:) Nicely done, would be a childhood memory! Keep well, Mikki

OMG, That was MY family. There were eight kids and the tiny bathroom was RIGHT NEXT TO THE KITCHEN. Can you believe a more unsuitable place for it? hahaha. The toilet in that old house actually held up better than the two in the house I share with my husband They just don't make stuff like in the old days. Love this one.
