Grim Reaperii

As I said in GRI, I would return to speak again
of that which I did afore begin
I now do finish that first rhyme.
The next time was when commerce sought
where in O.C. a car I bought
A Peugot fine it was, I deemed
as off the lot I drove that eve.
I headed for a fueling place,
and gassed the tank up full
Then into car I quickly got
and drove off slowly, aware of naught
when suddenly I heard a fearsome noise
'twas tension from the gas pump hose
Rocket-like that hard steel crashed
through window into my skull it smashed
A painful impact, 'twas just fate
as blood poured from my rock-hard pate.
Glass lodged in wound, it's true, was found
The gash quite deep, my skull did pound
Strange indeed this thing, forsooth
though death again I did repulse.
The last, and hopeful final time
was early June about evening time
Upon Steel Horse I did betake
to head to Gym, a work-out make
Flew like the wind round corner, that
machine and I, marked for thirty flat
Played carelessly that day, it's true
Lifes not a game, I greatly rue
At fifty five I pumped the brake
no time to turn, 'twas just too late
Fishtailed it did, that sturdy bike
as I crashed, with blackened sight.
To curb I flew, no sound of course
'cept my flesh crashing, 'gainst stronger force.
No time to think just blackness now
just time to speak a Name, not loud
to Him who reads the silent words
Lord I said, indeed you're true .
As up I stood up a ragged mess
though stand I did, God did bless
My life anew he granted me
Nine lives I've not, it's Destiny.
