Grieving
Grieving is loss, manifested
Raw emotion: peace molested.
Missing what was and is no more
Often senseless, the fruit of war.
Grieving is pain, piercing the spirit
Visceral, where none can hear it
It abides in the heart, rewinds in the mind
The compassionate see it, others are blind.
Grieving grows, the longer you live
Loved ones lost, how it pains to outlive.
The key to surviving, is remember the gifts
To embrace the blessings more than the hits.
