Grief of xmas
Grief
Tears
Anger
Resentment
Xmas Trees al lit up all around
Everyone is all dressed up to the tilt
Xmas songs being sung to bring Xmas cheer
But no cheer being sung to me, only tears
Thus advent my mom isn’t here… Baby Jesus can you give my mom a hug for me?
Tinsel, Xmas gifts being bought, stores busy with the holiday cheer, for me only tears..
I’m sorry Lord, forgive my anger,
I’m alone thus holiday, thus December chill, brings comfort to my cold empty soul, Feelings of failure, to do Gods will..
Street lights blink of red, yellow green, loved ones gather around laughing, stories of family traditions, wishing I was alone in my favorite place, Sunnybrook park where my smiles, hidden laughter is safe to be seen, where my husband grew up surrounded by love, because here is not my home..
I kneel down in the cold fresh fallen snow, seeking refuge from our Virgin Blessed Mary, our mother of wisdom, love, warmth, wrap your loving arms around my trembling body, Xmas isn’t the same anymore..
Mary Ever Virgin Mother Of God, Help me ..As we patiently await your Son, who is our Savior, our Emmanuel.. Mom, what am amazing sight you have this season, spending Xmas with Jesus Christ, “I can only imagine””..
