Grief

Cold, empty, dark inside,
You took everything with you.
The pain, I can no longer hide.

I haven't spoken,
Since you've been gone.
You've left me broken.

My hair is in knots;
My bones ache in this cold.
It is only you I've sought.

Though the sun still shines on,
And the waves rush to shore,
My life, my world is gone.
