Green Humor Contest
A Pinch of Red and Green
St. Patrick’s Day
They pinch without green then take a sip of beer
Small in size holding on to their pot of gold
Once depicted in red this comes from the old
Then green appeared and they captured all the gold
Short in stature they also can disappear
while sipping on a glass of ice cold green beer
A symbol of the Irish a four leaf clover shall bring luck
A fairy tale this could be but don’t believe
A pinch you shall receive for we all believe
In the Irish legion of the green Leprechaun
Enjoy this day that we celebrate that falls on Sunday
For on Monday we all go to work saving for our pot of gold
Then the IRS will steal your gold and put you in a pinch
For the IRS is like the Irish Leprechaun only dressed in red
Pretending to be your friend using a four leaf deduction
Thinking your are in the green but putting you in the red
