Green Dahlia

The horn section fell off mars
hangin' voodoo tremelos

Crazy eyed jack was there
twitchin' f-stop harmonies

Chandeliers flickered smoke haze
rhythms of green dahlias floating
above 6 minute promises

Amid forever, saturn shifted;
rings penetrated for eternity

Rings penetrated

for eternity

James, my daughter loved this one, when I visited. She is a naturally gifted musical genius (age, 28). But personally, kudos to you for sharing jazz beyond this planet. All beings need music, God, and poetry. Lead the way Poet Goff.

Nice, very nice. Is Green Dahlia a song, a band band? Or is it a game of jazz poker there in the spring? Love it, w

I am charmed by this enigmatic piece James. I believe I understand the music part but not the connection with mars and saturn. Please explain...thanks, Connie
