GREEK PLEASURE

GREEK PLEASURE

The sight of you
With cup in hand
Wine is all spent
The taste is sweet
On wet red lips
A smile it seems
Is it for me
Perhaps this time
We share it all
How hot the blood
I wonder now
It pulses fast
From heart to brain
Emotion wins
Over pure thought
And never cold
Except in death
And when it comes
For both of us
A life well lived

I am grateful for your sharing and the efforts you put into your poem. It is meaningful to me all the poems written in this contest meant something to the authors. I truly appreciate that. Congrats!!!

Very nice, Howard. Nothing like the feelings of two people in love. Merry Christmas!
