Great Write

My heart is breaking
Great write
My demons are waking
Great write
My heart is abused
Great write
My body is used
Great write
I’m going under
Great write
Deafened by thunder
Great write
I cry night and day
Great write
I can’t find my way
Great write
I’m lost and alone
Great write
I’m sick to the bone
Great write
I’m going to give in
Great write
I’m guilty as sin
Great write
I’m going to die
Great write
I just wonder why
All you can write is…

Great write, Great write!

Eileen Manassian Ghali

People share so much heartache and pain in what they write. We read and see a literary work and not the person from whom the words flowed. It's sad. SO SO sad. When did we become so desensitized to pain? When did we just see the poem and not the poet? I had to vent.

oh I think you are wrong there, sometimes we see more into things when we should not, but I also think , we also see and feel the pain, sometimes we just don't say so. A great write!!! :)

Perhaps some people say it is a great write because you have conveyed the message well which leaves the reader speechless.

I most resonate with Drakes comment. Sometimes I am writing from an experience other times I am placing myself in someone else's shoes. The person who is reading may be completly oblivious. Sometimes the person may be going through their own thing and may not be emotionly available. I know from personal experience your work has profoundly moved me on many occasions.

I know, Richard. I do that too, but....like you wrote on someone's poem.....It's nice to say, "I hope this isn't true, but if it is......I hope you find the grace to endure." Or something of that nature. I guess I expect too much. Thank you for that last bit....much appreciated.

I don't think we should worry too much about the comments we receive, a lot depends on how well you know the commenter. I agree with both the comments below. As for this poem, all I can say is, 'Great Write' lol. Take care, Richard

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Mr Seal...Piggy backing off others comments is NOT appreciated either. I need YOUR thoughts on this. Great Poem will not do. I am waiting for you to amend this post. Thanks.

There are two types of readers in poetry: Those who assume what's happening in a poem is true AND those who don't. That said, neither justifies a very basic comment. We, as poets, pour our hearts & minds out on paper. It should be valued better than it is, at times. I get it. I almost wrote about it too. But, I stifled myself. Kudos to you for this. Don't let the small comments sway you. Because, realistically, a small comment is better than an ignorant/immature one.

Yes, my dear. I understand completely. Yes......I shouldn't complain! ;) I should be happy people are reading and commenting. Thanks for helping me work myself through this, Drake. HUGS
