Great Is This Joy! (Rondelet)

Great is this joy!
My soul--ever encompassing …
Great is this joy!
Having not a need to feel coy
It’s found deep within me…Shining
Filled to the brim --overflowing
Great is this joy!

Glad you liked my poem. The name is Matthew with 2 t's. Joy is good - I pray to the Jewish God that I will find some more! Keep up the good work.

The rhyming pattern flows very well in this Rondelet. I like how the imagery representing greatness of joy leaps off the page at the reader. This is certainly an inspirational piece. Great job! ~Joseph

Wonderful, Adell! This reminds me of Handel's "Messiah"...makes one want to jump up out of their chair and SING! This inspires and makes the reader feel rejuvenated with happiness. Hope all is well with you. All my blessings and peace always, John
