Gravity

Gravity pulled rain from swollen clouds
Gravity pulled down a murky shroud

Gravity pulled down the curtain of lies
Gravity pulled tears from my eyes

Gravity pulled hope into the gutter
Gravity snuffed the flame’s last shudder

Gravity crushed what I believed
Gravity left me lost and deceived

Gravity held me to the floor
Gravity vilely whispered no more

Gravity silenced every sound
Gravity left me completely bound

Gravity ground my dreams to dust
Gravity turned my faith to rust

Gravity stole the breath I gave
Gravity pulled me into the grave

You are gravity

Wow! That is deep! Love the angst and rawness of this Christopher!
