Grasshopper To Its Prey

There's a great rain clouds hovering I could almost feel my anguish winning Like the grass that shivers in expectation I bowed to brace myself until it falls I will never abandon what is left Of the chain that you and I have created. I have seen marshmallow clouds On Sunday morning I have marveled I have wandered on that lazy day Lazy days in the hammock, I always Find you there Your beauty engulfed me alive. There could be more of this coming I wish I can take you to a safer place To watch us both drown in the flood Is the hardest part of my existence Glory days, glory days forever gone And there's nothing here to blame.
