Granny's Tattoos

Having one's person embellished with tattoos is all the rage today. Used to be that only carousing tars got tattooed in old Mandalay! They might have an 'Anchor' or 'Mother' tattooed on their chest, Their ship's name or a naughty quote of which they were obsessed! As an inquisitive lad I paid a dime to see tattooed ladies on a dare, Where they 'bared' their gaudy hides at a carnival or the county fair. Nowadays, for free I can see tattooed ladies sashaying down the street; Some are very discreet - others flaunt tattoos most everywhere replete! Let me hasten to say it's none of my affair - I think they're very brave, But do they realize they're stuck with the things 'til planted in the grave? I can hear this question from their grand kids when they become a granny; "Nana! What are all those funny pictures gracing your arms and fanny?"

G'day Robert … my brother told me recently that if he had his time again he would become a tattoo remover. How long will it be before these tattooed request that after their death, their skin be removed and preserved as art - thanks again Robert - Lindsay

Just read your poem. Hmmm, let's hope grandkids are not seeing their granny's fanny. hahaha. That could traumatize them for life. Good and funny, Robert.

yes, I was thinking of SOS again. Did I say what we called it. I know it's often referred to as creamed beef or something like that but I think my mom called it hamburger gravy!

I’m too old fashion I suppose. I just don’t understand tolerating that much pain for something, I think, you’re going to live to regret. Good one Bob...

I certainly agree Charlie - besides, I understand it is pretty costly to have a tat done and doesn't add to the beauty of male or female as far as I can tell. Take good care, friend - Bob

What young folks don't realise is that diet, exercise, and health change the shape of the tattoo whilst age makes it appear like a wad of crumpled-up paper! So always a good idea to see granny's tattoo! Aloha! Rico

OMG Can't imagine grandchildren asking granny about the tattoos she has in unmentionable places. This is the second tattoo poem I read today. Is there a contest? Your poem is truly hilarious, Bob. Thanks for sharing it. Hugs, Carolyn (your tattoo-free friend)
