Grandpa Returns

The imagination in my head
Was keeping me awake instead
I thought to self am I dreaming?
But into window bird came streaming.

Hey! I yelled in a head that was unclear.
Who are you? What brings you here?
The bird smirked at my consternation.
Looked amused, in fascination.

Shut up! He said in his mean caw.
A reincarnation of grandpa!
Today had been so evil boring.
But now imagination was a soaring!

I followed him around the room.
He told me to put the camera on zoom.
I did everything that I was told.
He was bossy, that bird, so big and bold.

It was my grandpa sure enough.
Came back in spirit; demanded snuff.
I kept him hidden from grandma.
She was never kind to old grandpa.

Amazing how you can just know a person by their demeanor no matter what shape they have taken!

They can flit around here as robins and I know them instantly

It never is. I think we keep being recycled until we finally "get it right" and get to become part of the source.
