Grandmother

Lost in the echo Day by day it's the same But with a new shade A new pallor on every game On every November night Every stone feels different But it's all the same The only thing truly different Is you're not here To make it all okay To shine a light Each and every day Is a brand new struggle But every day I remember When I wake up The reason I continue to exist Is because you loved me And you fought for me And molded me into who I am Someone who can thrive Even on the coldest of days But even so sometimes I get Lost in the echo
