Grandma

You were there when in need My mind and feelings you could always read You were there when I was sad Even when in my mother’s eyes I was bad. You told me you loved me That the real me you could see We went endless nights just laughing and talking You were one person that never went out of my life walking. We would watch TV for hours on end. And some advice and a helping hand you would lend. Our one on one conversations are now just memories Now it feels like you have been gone for centuries The pictures and laughs are what I have left Growing up you were always the best Now all those times I know I did cherish And now you are perished Never forgotten will you be When it’s my time to go you’ll be the first I come to see
