Gracious Braces

Like jewels on crowns The little buddies sat in a row Hands clutched together Raring to go Filled with intent To put up a good show. Weaving their magic slowly Through days and nights Sticking through thick and thin Determined to fight Facing all odds To wipe out the blight. As the operations drew to a close And it was time to stop the force The crestfallen buddies shaken, morose Unglued, fragmented After almost a year Yet content, in a victory Straighforward and clear Were happy to see The mouth break free And smile winsomely; No longer captive To shame, or fear.
