Notes About The Poem

bent

Grace in the Curve

There's strength in being bent, askew,
for in nature nothing is straight on cue.
Trees lean the way the wind blows.
Streams carve the path where water flows.
Bending to flex and bow is not compliance,
For resilience resists, reworks defiance.

A nice short poem with a bit of wisdom within, John. This was my first visit to your poetry, but not my last. I like the way you write, so I'm going to follow your poetry. I hope you'll stop by mine for a visit. A poet in Texas, Bill
