Grace and Solitude
Amidst the assertive shrill noise
Of debate, slandering and fight
caregivers held nerve and poise
call of duty was their only sight.
Putting their own very lives at stake
Angels in white went about it in grace
nursing those affected in outbreak
Fine recovery, their efforts showcase.
They bore the brunt of anger of few
whose dear ones succumbed to chill
hiding angst, kept up a smiling hue
with fortitude and professional skill.
These angels are the saviours prime
we cannot repay for service yeomen
doing best, they have been sublime
In solitude, we pray for them, amen!
