Grace and Solitude

What do you do when your mind’s ok, But your body decides to give up? You could probably still write a masterpiece, But you can’t even drink from a cup. What do you do when your kidneys fail, Even though you didn’t really drink? When you can’t breathe properly and you need some help, But you still have ability to think. What do you do when you can’t walk steps, And you need some artificial aid? When your bones are aching and your feet are swelled, But your thought patterns aren’t yet frayed? What do you do when you watch TV, And the sound must be on full blast? When you wonder each time that you close your eyes, If this time will be the last. What do you do when your mind’s made up, That it’s finally reached the end? That you don’t want visitors, just solitude, And peace is your greatest friend. What do you do when the end’s now close? Every word makes you shake and sigh, Will you tell those close that your time is up, As you whisper your last goodbye?
