Grab it Before it Passes

Tonight this full moon shines down, flooding my mind with old memories, of the way I used to be when I was younger, wilder, and free. I know I can’t go back and try to find those youthful days that now haunt my mind but I have no regrets of anything that I might have left behind. Age demanded a high cost and some of those things I hoped to keep, got lost in the mix when my years began to fade away. So don’t let your hopes go up in smoke never treat life like it’s a joke slow down and take the time to live in the here and now. Forget and Forgive. You will never have another chance to pass this way again

Truer words have never been spoken, Jerry. You are right, my friend. "Don't let hopes to go up in smoke, never treat life like it's a joke" Life is too short...we must cherish every moment. Thanks for stopping by with your awesome comments about my poetry...you made my day!

Hello Jerry, I love the way you reflect on the full moon and the memories of youth is nostalgic and real. Your message about cherishing the present and not letting life slip by is so important, especially as we navigate the passage of time. Keep capturing the essence of life.
