When she’s sure her tired hubby’s asleep,
Susie sneaks from the bedroom to keep
a much-loved rendezvous.
Rocky Road she will woo.
Her addiction to ice cream runs deep.

Hi Janice - how long is it since we have communicated, at least 6 months - I have missed seeing your name on my page so looked up some of your poems, this one is fun. lol Reminds me of my hubby. He used to wait until I was asleep and then go into the kitchen and snack on everything he was not supposed to have. A type II diabetic his blood sugar was off the chart and I couldn't understand why. I tried so hard to keep him in line. He now lives in a care facility where they watch him not just because of that but he has other issues too. If he had stayed home with me he would be dead by now . A good one Janice. Congrats. Thanks so much, Judy. I'm not diabetic, thank God, but my younger sister is. She craves sweets so much that she would pass up her favorite meal for a bowl of ice cream! Janice
