Goodbye to my Love

You say whatever it is, I can talk to you But I'm finding it hard to believe it's true. For you make me feel like a complete fool When I reach out, and you lose your cool. Where exactly did I go wrong? What did I do that everything is now crumpled up? Was this our fate all along? And were we just something that I made up? I don't know how to say, but if I may, To me it is clear as day, that even when in my deathbed I lay, I will say, that I love you. For it's only you, that I've ever laid my eyes on. But deep in my grave, buried should my heart be Down, down below where no one can ever see For dreams can come true, fantasies can not And this chapter ends in a sad note, that's the plot. But if love is to let go, then why is it so hard? If love is so fragile, then how can it tear me apart? You broke my heart, but I can't blame you For I should've known this is what I'd be going through. I don't know if this is the chapter's ending I've seen far too many surprises that fate has been sending. But one thing's for sure, you're not mine to keep So I'm bidding goodbye to my love, before I bury it deep.
