Goodbye Pain
The homeless man's worldly possessions were laid as a bevel against the curb. He rests his head against his backpack using it as leverage to keep himself upright. His drinking and drug use has landed him in this sinkhole of psychosis over the years.
You may think him a derelict but there is still a fragment of resolution for a better life left in his soul. He hangs onto the illusion that he can change his life and save himself as he injects the heroine into his bulging vein.
Goodbye pain.
