Gone Again

Into the sunset, I sailed away
On a pink bottomed cloud, at the end of the day.
Traveling light, my load left behind
In search of tomorrow, as I slowly unwind.

From pink, to red and then to black
How quick the mind can travel back
My cloud had sailed clean out of sight
And there I sat, alone at night.

The moon appeared, the stars came out
Dark shadows seem to creep about,
I found a star and zeroed in
And just like that, I was gone again.

Good morning John. It is a very peaceful time of day, indeed. I try to take time to watch the sunset every evening. It is very spiritual. Great to see you again. I hope you and your family are well.

Time travel of another kind, Danny. Starlight swept you away from the darkness. Tomorrow will always find us so don’t go searching for it. You can jump on my cloud.

Thank you, Tom. When you stop looking forward, one undoubtedly looks back. Probably has a lot to do with one's age. I appreciate your time and comment.
